I have a possible 3rd reason....he wanted someone to help him invalidate the importance of the supposed FDS. The infamous hypothetical comment....
a little experience that happened very recently:.
another brother, an elder, and i were talking, i was explaining to him and giving him several examples of how a couple of the elders in our congregation were blatantly trying to run their own show, parading themselves around as "representatives" of the body, when the other brothers didnt know what the hell they were talking about.
they are using their "elder powers" to bully and push people around, causing a bit of angst and hurt feelings.

i love to read the watchtower's article "the church fathersadvocates of bible truth?
" (w01 4/15 pp.
there we may read the most contadictory statements of the watchtower society, which shows how deceptive and ignorant is the jehovah's witnesses religion.. .
Wholeheartily agree with your post.
I have always, and I have to express ALWAYS, had an issue with the constant criticism of the early church. Even when I was a kid and we use to study the "All Scripture is Inspired" book, I would read the passages about the early "church" and ask "What "church" are we talking about?" If the Roman Catholic "Church" was the only "organized" church at the time, then aren't we talking about them? To criticize the early church as "apostate" and then in the same breath state that God blessed the process of the canonization of holy writings aka the Bible by means of that same early church is tantamount to saying that Charles Manson was a good parent!
The thing that eventually opened my eyes to this whole issue was the study of Marcion, the son of the bishop of Sinope. The church excommunicated Marcion because of his heretical views and by the end of the second century his impact of the church was notable. It was a "reaction" of the church to his selected canon that our current canon exists. Try to make sense of that?
hi guys, i don't really post on here much anymore, having been on here since 2001. this site helped me out in the early days and has been a great support system for all of my past jw issues.
like many others i was discouraged from an education so that i could window clean and pioneer in my youth during the 80's.
having spent many years post my jw exit in alcoholism and periods of drugs, i decided to clean myself up 7 years ago by attending aa, i was still a window cleaner ... at the time i wrote extensively on here about my issues.
Great job!!! Congratulations!
this might be my last post.
i've had quite a few things on my mind over the past few years, mainly my belief in god.
i've tried to move on from the jw past but that's really being foolish.
For some, belonging to this forum is not therapeutic. It is a constant reminder of the religion that has had such an impact on our lives. If you find that it does not empower you to move forward, then it may well be a hindrance to your progress.
it's almost 1am and i can't sleep...again.
i hate to think the organization is still taking my sleep from me 16 years later but i can't help it.
i run a page on social media for ex jw support and advice and i'm usually there helping others but it definitely takes a toll on me when i'm having to argue and disprove jws that troll my page.
Please read some information on how to combat bullying. that is all shunning is. Find a hobby. Join a club. go shopping. join the gym. the best single way to address shunning is to enjoy your life...
i had the pleasure of joining jw's on the weekend to greet the international delegates who are attending the london 2014 international convention at twickenham.. nothing interesting, just waiting for someone with a badge to come through the doors and all will cheer!
the interesting part is how they are behaving:.
1- the overseer: looked really bored, trying to impress surroundings by talking loud and how he can talk to immigration and check on passengers.
They got to count their time waiting for the delegates. Just like at the donut shop.
im just thinking outloud and, of course, you are welcome to think aloud with me.. (1) there are the metrics used in the yearbook totals.
the average publisher count measures only those who reported time.
likely, most of those who attend the memorial are those inactive or somehow associated in some way, shape, or form.. (2) there is meeting attendance.
I use aneroid barometer...it is an instrument to measure air because so many JWs are either "puffed up" or "blowhards"
this topic is of a theological nature.
if you have some scriptural insight, please share.
grievances are not welcome!.

You spent a great deal of time trying to figure this out, but it is simply conjecture and assumption. The idea that China will partner with Russia is in a word...ludicrous. Russia can barely stand on its own economically. China has such a vested financial interest in the US that to attack the US in any way would cause irreparable damage to the stability of China. The basic problem with your theory is that you start from a JW framework. The King of the South and the King of the North may not even be politial entities. If you expect to understand anything old testament, you must begin at the beginning. Isaac and Ishmael. It all starts there and it will end there. Two religious world powers whose inception occurred at precisely the same time in history. Where the Bible speaks of Abraham offering up Isaac, the Qu'ran speaks of Abraham offering up Ishmael...polar opposites in perspective....north and south. If you believe that the Bible is true....it must begin there. It is from that point in history that these religious nations began in their conflict.
Once you plug in the distinct world view of both religious entities and their constant friction, it is not hard to substitute them for political entities. If your hypothesis starts with this model, you will begin to understand the big picture of Daniel.
Or you could simply recognize that the Bible is just a book with an allegorical message, much like Dicken's A Christmas Carol (absolutely NOTHING to do with Christmas)
For centuries people have made their lives more meaningful by expecting that the prophetic message of the Bible would be fulfilled in their lifetimes. If that is what makes gives your life meaning and purpose, then great. Others, however, recognize that our lives are only as meaningful as we make them.

he also talks trash about higher education .... (for those who know some spanish, view this youtube video...).

what an idiot.. .
I once knew a brother and in a simple conversation I mentioned a CO that I really appreciated. The brother almost choked. He became upset and agitated. This was something I had absolutely never seen in this man who was typically calm and collected. I said, "It looks like I struck a nerve." He said, "you sure did! That guy had the gall to tell me that my business was making me materialistic. My wife and two daughters were both pioneers. He sat there waving his hand with the diamond encrusted pinky ring and several other gold rings in my face. Hypocrite!" I said, "who wears a pinky ring anyway?"
The ring on Loesch's middle finger looks like a signet ring....royalty? Pressing hot wax to seal his letters? Decoder ring? Green lantern maybe?
i'm not sure if this has been discussed before.
you guys might recall that when the 2013 yearbook came out, the letter from the governing body ended a bit unusually:.
we love you all very much.
Yep....I feel loved.
